Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 12, 2026  |  Last Updated: October 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CareMatch LLC ("CareMatch," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the CareMatch mobile application, the website at carematch.app, and related services (together, the "Services").

1. Who We Are

CareMatch LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company. CareMatch is a technology platform that helps people seeking non-medical care ("Care Seekers") connect with people who offer caregiving support ("Caregivers"). We do not provide care, employ Caregivers, or manage care arrangements.

2. Information We Collect

a. Information you give us

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), account type, and confirmation that you are 18 or older.
  • Profile information: biography, photo (optional), care categories, skills or services offered or needed, availability, preferences, and general location that you enter manually.
  • Care recipient information: if you create a profile on behalf of someone who needs care, the care recipient's first name, age range, relationship to you, and the type of support needed. This may include health related information such as mobility limitations or a condition you choose to describe.
  • Caregiver verification information: a photo of a government issued ID and related details submitted to verify a Caregiver's identity.
  • Messages and content: messages you send to other users and reports you submit to us.
  • Support requests: information you include when you contact us.

b. Information collected automatically

  • Device and log information such as IP address, device identifiers, operating system, browser type, and app version.
  • Usage information such as screens viewed, features used, swipes, matches, and session activity.
  • Information from cookies, pixels, and software development kits (SDKs). See our Cookie Policy.

c. Payment information

Subscriptions purchased in the app are processed by Apple or Google. Subscriptions purchased on our website are processed by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not store full card numbers. We receive limited details such as subscription status, transaction dates, amount, and in some cases the card brand, last four digits, and billing ZIP code.

3. Sensitive Information

Some information on CareMatch can be sensitive, including health related details about a care recipient, information about a minor or a dependent adult, and Caregiver ID images. We handle this information with extra care:

  • We collect it only to provide matching and verification, and only with your consent where the law requires it.
  • Care details you put in a profile are shown to other users only as part of that profile so the right people can find you. Share only what is needed to describe the help required.
  • We do not sell sensitive information and do not use or share it for targeted advertising.
  • ID images are used for verification, access to them is limited, and they are deleted or retained only as long as needed for verification, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

4. How We Use Information

  • To create and manage accounts and show profiles to potential matches.
  • To match users based on care categories, location, and preferences.
  • To verify Caregiver identity and help prevent fraud, abuse, and fake accounts.
  • To process subscriptions and manage Premium access.
  • To respond to support requests and send service messages about your account.
  • To measure and improve the Services, including through analytics.
  • To market CareMatch, subject to your choices and applicable law.
  • To enforce our Terms of Use and comply with legal obligations.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • With other users: your profile information is visible to other users so they can decide whether to match with you. Messages are shared with the people you send them to.
  • With service providers: companies that help us run the Services, such as hosting, identity verification, analytics, email delivery, customer support, and payment processing (Apple, Google, and Stripe). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • With advertising and analytics partners: limited device and usage information collected through cookies, pixels, and SDKs (for example, Google Analytics, Firebase, and Meta) as described in our Cookie Policy. We do not share care recipient health information or ID images with these partners.
  • For legal and safety reasons: when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users, the public, or CareMatch.
  • In a business transfer: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

6. Children and Dependents

You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 18. A parent, legal guardian, or authorized representative may create a profile describing a minor or a dependent adult who needs care. By doing so, you confirm that you have the legal authority to share that person's information and to make care decisions for them. If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we will delete it.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can update most profile information in the app at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information and your account.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and certain analytics.
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on consent.
  • Appeal a decision we make about your request.

To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. After you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your information within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep certain records for fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, tax, or other legal requirements.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and limited access to sensitive data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and contact us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

10. Where Information Is Processed

CareMatch is operated in the United States, and information is stored and processed in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

11. Third Party Services

The Services may link to or integrate with third party services, such as the App Store, Google Play, and Stripe. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and notify you through the Services or by email before the changes take effect.
